BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of Jonesboro, Arkansas:    

 

SECTION 1: Ordinance No. 954 known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be amended as Recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the changes in zoning classification as follows:

 

From Residential (R-1) To Commercial (C-3) the following described property:

 

LEGAL DESCRIPTION:

 

Part of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 33, Township 14 North, Range 4 East, Craighead County, Arkansas, being more particularly described as follows:

 

Begin at the Northwest Corner of the Northwest Quarter of the  Northwest Quarter of aforesaid Section 33; thence S89°56'15" E along the North Line of aforesaid Section 33, 785.38'; thence S0°55'47"W - 94.07' to the Easterly Right Of Way Line of Parker Road, the point of beginning proper; thence S0°55'47"W - 565.93'; thence N89°57'00"W - 313.45' to the Easterly Right Of Way Line of Parker Road; thence along said Easterly Right Of Way Line of Parker Road as follows: N42°23'47"E - 33.00'.  N19°31'57"E - 264.00' N24°21'07"E -225.04'  N51°09'21"E -128.06', N70°05'53"E -21.00' to the point of beginning proper containing 2.49 acres, more of less, subject to all Rights Of Way and easements of record.

 

SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that the proper use of the tract(s) of land described above in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
