AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO 2779 PROVIDING FOR REVIEW OF FEES BY THE CITY COUNCIL AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES (NOTE: THIS ORDINANCE WAS AMENDED BY ORD-09:090 ON NOVEMBER 17, 2009)

WHEREAS, the City Council by Ordinance No. 2779 adopted on May 5, 1997 established fees for inspection of driveways, and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend said ordinance to provide for Council review of the fees so established.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro that Ordinance No. 2779 should be amended as follows:
(1) That Section 2 of said Ordinance should be amended as follows: "Said Fees Shall be subject to review by the City Council."
(2) That the rest and remainder of said ordinance except as amended herein shall be in full force and effect.
(3) That the City Council hereby determines an emergency exist and this ordinance being necessary for the preservation for the public peace, health and safety it shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval.
