AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 2005 ANNUAL BUDGET AND AMENDING THE PAY PLAN FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS

WHEREAS, Ordinance Number 3506 adopted a 2005 annual budget for the City of Jonesboro; and
WHEREAS, there is a need to amend the 2005 annual budget
THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED, by the Jonesboro City Council that
SECTION 1: The 2005 annual budget is amended by the addition of the position of HVAC Technician in the Building Maintenance Department.
SECTION 2: The sum of $21,536 is appropriated from the unappropriated balance of the General Fund for the HVAC Technician position, to be allocated to the following Building Maintenance Department 2005 line item accounts:

SECTION 3: The sum of $8,000 is appropriated from the unappropriated balance of the Fixed Asset Fund for the purchase of a used min-van for use by the HVAC Technician.
SECTION 4: The City of Jonesboro Pay Plan is hereby amended to include an HVAC Technician in Grade 14, Step A, with an annual salary of $28,992.34.
SECTION 5: For the operational continuity of the City of Jonesboro it is hereby found and declared that an emergency exists and that this ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
