A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS ACCEPTING BID FOR DEMOLITION FOR THE 2004 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro solicited bids for demolition pursuant to bid specifications and was received on March 10, 2004, at City Hall, Jonesboro, AR.

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro has prepared a contract for said work of which contract is attached.

WHEREAS, the low bidder and only bidder for the project is Bill Gilmer with a bid of $1,250.00 per structure, plus $500 for each additional 500 sq. ft.

WHEREAS, One hundred percent of the funds for the project will come from the 2004 Community Development Block Grant Budget, fund line item 831-40 *48, previously approved by the Jonesboro City Council and submitted to HUD for approval.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:

SECTION 1: That the City of Jonesboro accepts the low bid of $1,250.00 from Bill Gilmer for each structure plus $500 for each 500 sq. ft. of structure.

SECTION 2: The Mayor, Hubert Brodell and City Clerk, Donna Jackson are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute the contract documents as attached.
