RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE GRANT AGREEMENT FOR IMPROVEMENTS AT THE JONESBORO MUNICIPAL AIRPORT

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro has executed a grant agreement dated April 25, 1973, to the FAA for federal participation in improvements at the Jonesboro Municipal Airport; and

WHEREAS, the FAA has increased federal participation in this project based on a recent amendment to the Airport and Airways Development Act and Amendment No. 1 to the grant agreement for Project No. 8-05-0033-02 has been authorized to increase federal participation of the grant agreement from 50% of allowable project cost to 82% of all allowable project cost; and

WHEREAS, it is determined to be in the interest of the City of Jonesboro that Amendment No. 1 be accepted by the City.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council that said City Council does hereby accept Amendment No. 1 to the grant agreement for Project No. 8-05-0033-02 set forth at length in the terms of the amendment and the Mayor is to execute the necessary documents.
