AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING CERTAIN TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES: PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS THEREOF AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:

Section 1: The City Council finds and declares that eh conditions of traffic is such as to endanger the traveling public and pedestrians on certain streets and that certain traffic control devices are to be provided and placed on the following streets:

(a) Stop signs in Meadowlark Acres as follows:

Barbara Ann and Marzee Ann, traffic on Barbara Ann yielding to traffic on Marzee Ann;
Toni Ann and Marzee Ann, traffic on Toni Ann yielding to traffic on Marzee Ann;
Toni Ann and Marzee Ann, traffic on Toni Ann yielding to traffic on Marzee Ann;
Marzee Ann and Leslie Ann; traffic on Marzee Ann yielding to traffic on Leslie Ann;
Hunter and Aggie; traffic on Hunter yielding to traffic on Aggie;
Cater and Aggie; traffic on Cater yielding to traffic on Aggie;

(b) Stop signs in Vance Addition as follows:

Grant and Browns Lane; traffic on Grant yielding to traffic on Brown’s Lane;
Grant and Caraway Road; traffic on Grant yielding to traffic on Caraway Road;
Bernard and Grant; traffic on Grant yielding to traffic on Bernard;
Theater Drive and Grant; traffic on Theatre Drive yielding to traffic on Grant;
Fowler and Bernard; traffic on Fowler yielding to traffic on Bernard;
Fowler and Caraway; traffic on Fowler yielding to traffic on Caraway Road;

Section 2: The drivers of all vehicles shall obey all traffic control sighs per instruction on the face thereof.

Section 3: The Chief of Police or some person designated by him is hereby directed to place and locate on the above described streets, at the proper place, appropriate signs designating traffic control as set above and it shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to tear down, remove or mutilate said signs.
