AN ORDINANCE TO REPEAL ORDINANCE NO. 1834 DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

WHEREAS, the DuPont plant in Jonesboro is in the process of closure, and have removed the Remington Traps located at the City of Jonesboro Range facility;
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
 
SECTION 1: That Ordinance No. 1834 passed and approved June 20, 1983, be and is hereby repealed in its entirety.
 
SECTION 2: That due to the impending closure of DuPont and the removal of the above refereed traps by it from the City Range and emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this ordains being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, and safety shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
 
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of December, 1989.
