RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE RIGHT-OF-WAY FORMS SUBMITTED BY T.J. ROBERTSON TO CONSTRUCT ELECTRICAL TRANSMISSION LINES

WHEREAS, it is proposed that a major electrical transmission line will be constructed for the use and benefit of the City Water and Light Plant of the City of Jonesboro by and through T. J. Robertson which line will cross properties now owned and controlled by the City of Jonesboro, being known as the Knights of Pythias Colored Cemetery described as:
30 Acres in the form of a rectangle or parallelogram off of the North Side of the Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 23, Township 14 North, Range 3 East, and
WHEREAS that, construction of such line will be of great and lasting benefit to the citizens of the City of Jonesboro.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Jonesboro, the Right-of-way Permit forms submitted granting to T.J. Robertson, his successors and assigns, the right to construct such electrical transmission line across the afore described property.
