A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS TO CONTRACT WITH NRS CONSULTING ENGINEERS TO PERFORM ENGINEERING WORK FOR THE OAKLAWN CEMETERY EXPANSION

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro is seeking to expand Oaklawn Cemetery;

WHEREAS, a preliminary lot layout and grading plan is needed to begin the expansion of Oaklawn Cemetery;

WHEREAS, NRS Consulting Engineers is requesting $28,500 to perform the engineering work for the cemetery;

WHEREAS, funds for the engineering shall come from the perpetual care fund interest earnings.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:

SECTION 1: That the City of Jonesboro shall contract with NRS Consulting Engineers for $28,500 to prepare a preliminary lot layout and grading plan for the expansion to Oaklawn Cemetery.

SECTION 2: The Mayor, Doug Formon and City Clerk, Donna Jackson are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
