AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954 KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CHANGE IN ZONING BOUNDARIES.

BE IT ORDAINED   by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:

 

SECTION 1: That Ordinance No.  954 known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the change in zoning district boundaries as follows:

 

From Residential (R-1) to Residential (R-3) of property described as follows: Lot of Charles Richard Hargraves Subdivision of part of the North Half of the Northwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 21, Township 14 North, Range 4 East; also described as: Part of the North Half of the Northwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 21, Township 14 North, Range 4 East, to-wit: From an iron pin on the East line of Bittle Street (aka Sycamore Street per Sigler’s College Addition Plat, Record Book 48, page 230) which is on the South line of the said North Half of the Northwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter; then continue North along said East street line 100.0 feet; then run North 89°12' East 196.5 feet; then run South 100.0 feet; then run South 89° 12' West 196.5 feet to the point of beginning, containing 0.45 acres.

 

SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that proper use of the tract of land described in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning and that, therefore, an emergency exists and this Ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, it shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
