AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR CHANGES IN ZONING BOUNDARIES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
SECTION 1: That Ordinance Number 954 known as the zoning ordinance of the city of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the changes in zoning classifications as follows:
From Commercial (C-3) to Residential (R-2) of the following described property.
Max Dacus, Jr’s Replat of lot A of Max Dacus, Jr’s Replat of lots 98-104 an that part of lots 105 and 106, Situated North of Streckers First Replat of College Place Sub. And lots 181-186 and all that part of lots 128 and 129 situated North of the North line of Johnson Avenue. And lots 197-213 and all that part of lots 214, 131 and 132 situated North of the North line of Johnson Ave. all of College Place Sub to Jonesboro, Arkansas.
SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that the proper use of the tract(s) of land described above in this ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that, therefore, an emergency is here by declared to exist and this ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
