RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO ESTABLISHING SOME OF THE DUTIES OF THE SEXTON OF THE CITY CEMETERY

It shall be the duty of the Sexton of the City Cemetery to keep the streets and alleys of the cemetery clean of all weeds and grass and other material that may be on the same; to keep all unknown graves cleaned off and in good condition; to keep the fence and gates in good repair; to keep all vacant lots cleaned off; to prohibit anyone from going across the said cemetery or using it as a public highway; and to keep the sidewalk in good repair in front of the cemetery.
The Sexton is authorized to sell lots at the prices named by the City Council, and turn the proceeds over to the City Treasurer, keeping a complete record of such transactions.
