AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954 KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR CHANGES IN ZONING BOUNDARIES FROM R-2 TO C-1 LOCATED ON LOTS 2 AND 3 OF THE CHARLES A. STUCK SUBDIVISION OF THE SOUTH 221 FEET OF LOT 5 OF WARNERS ADDITION AND FROM C-1 TO R-1 LOCATED LOT 12 OF THE KNIGHTS FIRST ADDITION

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
Section 1: Ordinance No. 954 known as the Zoning Ordinance if the City of Jonesboro be amended as recommended by the City Planning Commission by the change in the Zoning District boundaries as follows:
1. From Residential R-2 to Commercial C-1 of the property described as follows: Lot 2 & 3 of the Charles A. Stuck Subdivision of the South 221 feet of Lot 5 of Warner Addition to the City of Jonesboro.
2. From Commercial C-1 to Residential R-1 of property described as follows: A re-plat of the North 75 feet of the South 150 feet of Lot 12, Knights First Addition, to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas
Section 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that proper use of the tracts of land described in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning and that, therefore, an Emergency exists and this Ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the Public Peace, Health and Safety, it shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
