AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS TO THE ARKANSAS HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT FOR STUDY OF ACCESS POINTS TO FUTURE INTERSTATE 555 AS RECOMMENDED IN THE CITY OF JONESBORO TRAFFIC STUDY

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS, that
SECTION 1: The sum of $250,000 is hereby appropriated from the Transportation Study Phase 2 found under Capital Improvement Fund Expenditures in the 2006 budget, for further study and improvement recommendations by the Arkansas Highway Department.
SECTION 2: Due to the high priority placed on access to Future I-555 within the city limits of the City of Jonesboro and the need for further study according to the Jonesboro Traffic Study, it is hereby found and declared that an emergency exists and that this ordinance, being necessary for the public peace health and safety shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
