June 13, 1975
The Metropolitan Area Planning Commission met in regular session on Thursday, June 13, 1975 at 7:30 P.M. in the Court Room at City Hall.
The meeting was called to order by the Chairman, Mr. A.E. Scott, Jr.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Scott, Morrison, Cooper, Smith, Wheeless, and Gott.
MEMBERS ABSENT: Ball and McDaniel.
Items for business were as follows:
Item #1. Mr. John Wheeler requests final approval on Wheeler Acres Subdivision. General location of said subdivision is as follows: Northeast of Jonesboro just south of Highway 1. A motion was made by Mr. Morrison and seconded by Mr. Cooper to APPROVE the request. A vote was taken and the motion was passed unanimously.
Item #2. Mr. Bill Duke requests approval of a replat of lots 35-A of Replat Marlo Acres 4th Addition into three lots, “A”, “B”, and “C”. General location of said property is on north side of Melton Drive at Mallard Drive. A motion was made by Mr. Cooper and seconded by Mr. Wheeless to APPROVE the request. A vote was taken and the motion was passed unanimously.
Item #3. Dr. H.O. Edwards requests final approval on Edward’s Subdivision: the property is located north of Belt Street on Marshall and Melrose. A motion was made by Mr. Wheeless and seconded by Mr. Smith to APPROVE the request. A vote was taken and the motion was passed unanimously.
Item #4. Village Communities Incorporated request preliminary approval of Candlewood 3rd Addition. Said property is located on the south side of Neely (Parks) Road and east of Candlewood Second Addition. A motion was made by Mr. Cooper and seconded by Mr. Morrison to APPROVE the request. A vote was taken and the motion was passed unanimously.
Item #5. Urban Renewal requests approval of a plat for right of way to the City of Jonesboro. Property is located on Cate, Creath, East, Bridge, and Washington. A motion was made by Mr....
