RESOLUTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING TO ABANDON A PORTION OF RANSOME LANE AND DUSTIN DRIVE

WHEREAS, property owners have filed a Petition with the City Clerk of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas requesting that a portion of Ransom Lane and Dustin Drive be vacated and abandoned; and,
WHEREAS, the Petition has been presented to the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and,
WHEREAS, Arkansas Statute Annotated 19-3814 requires two weeks public notice before the above streets can be vacated and abandoned;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that the City Clerk is directed to publish a notice once a week for two consecutive weeks advertising the public that property owners desire to vacate and abandon a portion of Ransom Lane and Dustin Drive and that this matter will be hard before the City Council on September 8, 1987 at 7:15 p.m. at City Hall, Jonesboro, Arkansas.
