RESOLUTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING TO ABANDON A RIGHT OF WAY ON BLACKBERRY LANE

WHEREAS, the property owners have filed a Petition with the City Clerk of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas requesting that the Right of Way of Blackberry Lane, be abandoned:
 
The Right of Way of Blackberry Lane, a part of Wilderness Run Subdivision, extending from Wilderness Run Drive, in a northeasterly direction toward undeveloped land, located in the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and the parallel Utility Easements; Except that the utility easement being located at the extreme northeast end of Blackberry Lane, being fifteen (15') in width, and being parallel to the exterior boundary of the subdivision, shall remain in place, and in full force and effect;
 
WHEREAS, a petition has been presented to the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and
 
WHEREAS, Arkansas Code Annotated 14-301-110 request two week public notice before the above described Right-of-Way and easements may be vacated and abandoned.
 
NOW, THERFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that the City Clerk is directed to publish a notice once a week for two consecutive weeks advising the public of the request by the property owners to vacate and abandon the said Rights-of Way and easements and this matter will be heard before the City Council on February 3, 2003 at 6:20 p.m. City Council Chambers located at 900 W. Monroe, Jonesboro, Arkansas.
