A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS TO ACCEPT THE LOW BID AND ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH CAMERON CONSTRUCTION CO., INC. FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS FACILITY GRADING PROJECT (NOTE: THIS CONTRACT HAD A CHANGE ORDER WITH RES-10:108 ON SEPTEMBER 7, 2010)

Body

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro has desires to accept the low bid and enter into a contract for the Public Works Facility Grading project;

WHEREAS, the low bidder and the firm selected for the Public Works Facility Grading project is Cameron Construction Co., Inc.;                   

WHEREAS, Cameron Construction Co., Inc. has bid $448,932.50 for the Public Works Facility Grading project;

WHEREAS, the funding for the execution of the contract shall come from 07-200-0107-00 and compensation shall be paid in accordance with the contract documents.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:

Section 1:  That the City of Jonesboro shall accept the low bid and enter into a contract with Cameron Construction Co., Inc. in the amount of $448,932.50 for the Public Works Facility Grading project

Section 2.  The funding for the execution of the contract shall come from 07-200-0107-00 and compensation shall be paid in accordance with the contract documents

Section 3.  The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
