RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS APPROVING THE REVISED 2004 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROJECT ACTIVITIES

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro approved it’s 2004 Consolidated Action Plan and Project Budget on November 3, 2003; and
WHEREAS, the City submitted it’s 2004 Action Plan and Budget in November 2003 to the Department of Housing and Urban Development for $680,000; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Urban Development has advised the City that $18,000 in funds have been cut from it’s allocation which reduces the (2004) Community Development Block Grant Projects; and
WHEREAS, the City held a Citizen Advisory Committee Meeting on January 14, 2004 and a Grants Committee meeting on January 22, 2004 to consider the revision of our 2004 project’s; and both committee’s recommended deleting $18,000 from the Runway Park line item which reduces the line item from $45,000 to $27,000 and further reduces the total project activities to $662,000 as shown on the attached sheet.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: That the revised project activities, as shown on the attached sheet totaling $662,000 are hereby approved.
SECTION 2: That the revised (2004) CDBG Projects are 100% Federal Funds with no City match required.
SECTION 3: That these projects and budget will be submitted to the Department of Housing and Urban Development for approval.
