RESOLUTION TO CONTRACT WITH TONEY AUCTIONS TO PROVIDE AUCTIONEERING SERVICES

WHEREAS, bids were advertised for an auctioneer to conduct a sale of the city's surplus vehicles and equipment and whereas Toney Auctions was the only bidder; AND
WHEREAS, the Mayor and other city personnel negotiated a price and date with Toney Auctions to provide auctioneering services for the auction to be conducted on Saturday, October 29, 2005 at 1624 Strawfloor Drive at 10:00 a.m. for a sales commission of fifteen percent (15%) or a minimum of $2,000 whichever is greater; AND
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas authorizes the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute and accept the attached auction contract with Toney Auctions as hereby negotiated.
