AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 15.12.03, ENTITLED “GENERAL REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM STANDARDS OF DESIGN”, SUBSECTION (b) OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS BY CHANGING SIXTY FEET TO FIFTY FEET FOR THE MINIMUM LOT SIZE REQUIREMENT FOR RESIDENTIAL DESIGN.

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of   Jonesboro, Arkansas:

 

SECTION 1: That Section 15.12.03, entitled “General Requirements and Minimum Standards of Design”, Subsection (b) be amended to read as follows:

 

A residential lots served by a public sewerage system shall not be less than fifty (50') feet wide at the building setback lines.  Lots on a Cul-De-Sac may be allowed with less than fifty (50) feet if approved by the City Planning Commission.

 

SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that an Emergency exists and this Ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, it shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.

 

PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of May, 1996.
