NOVEMBER 14, 1985
The Metropolitan Area Planning Commission met Thursday, November 14, 1985. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. in the council Chambers, 314 W. Washington, Jonesboro AR to consider the following requests:
MEMBERS PRESENT: Mr. White, Mr. Vance, Mr. Lusby, Mr. McCracken, Mr. Orr, Ms Barber. Mr. Hunt
MEMBERS ABSENT: Mr. Blalock, Mr. Ball
Assisting during the meeting: Joe Tomlinson, Jeff Gibson, Pat Parsons, Brian Wadley
The minutes from the October 10th meeting were approved.
#1 Don Culpepper requests permission to address the Commission on Ag Ordinance.
This item was withdrawn prior to the meeting.
#2 Jimmy Doyle Hunt requests a rezoning from Industrial 2 ( I-2 ) to Residential 3 ( R-3 ) the following described property: Part of the west one-half of the Southwest One Quarter of Section 13, Township 14 North, Range 3 East containing 2.35 acres, more or less. The general location of this property is north of Washington and west of Gee Street.
After discussion of this item, it was withdrawn by Mr. Hunt.
#3 The homeowners of Medallion Acres Subdivision ( Tract I ) and Curtis and Dianna Shatley, R Dale and Lura D Reaves ( Tract II ) request a zoning classification of Residential One ( R-1 ). Subject zoning request is submitted under the provisions of City Ordinance #1473 providing for zoning classification prior to the subject property being annexed to the City. The MAPC is asked to prepare a written statement as to what effect the proposed annexation would have on the City accepting said land. The property is described as follows: Tract I - All of Mediallion Acres to Jonesboro, AR containing 17.58 acres more or less, further described as being Lots 1-30 of said Medallion Acres Subdivision.
