A RESOLUTION TO AMEND THE CONTRACT WITH NRS ENGINEERING FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE TURTLE CREEK GREENWAY

Body

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro is seeking to finalize the design and begin construction on a portion of the Turtle Creek Greenway, and

WHEREAS, an additional spur of the greenway is needed to connect the greenway with Nettleton Central Elementary and Nettleton Intermediate Center, and

WHEREAS, NRS Consulting Engineers is requesting $3,900 to perform the engineering and construction inspection for the Greenway spur as described in the contract amendment;

WHEREAS, funds for the amendment shall come from the Parks and Recreation 2007 budget line item 05-100-0217-00 Professional Services.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:

Section 1: That the City of Jonesboro shall amend the contract with NRS Consulting Engineers to prepare an engineering plan and construction inspection for the Turtle Creek Greenway spur to Nettleton Central Elementary and Nettleton Intermediate Center.

Section 2: The Mayor, Doug Formon and City Clerk, Donna Jackson are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
