AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954 KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CHANGE IN ZONING BOUNDARIES FROM C-2 TO C-3 LOCATED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF PHILLIPS DRIVE BETWEEN GILMORE DRIVE AND STADIUM BLVD. AS REQUESTED BY TROY PHILLIPS

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
SECTION 1: That Ordinance No. 954 known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro be amended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the change in zoning district boundaries as follows:
From Commercial( C-2 ) to Commercial ( C-3 ) of property described as follows: Lots 1, 2, 6, 7, 8, and the Replat of Lot 9 of Phillips Addition to Jonesboro, Arkansas: (Troy L. Phillips, ET AL, N. Side of Phillips Dr. Between Gilmore Dr. and Stadium Blvd., C-2 to C-3.)
SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that proper use of the tract of land described in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning and that, therefore, an emergency exists and this Ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, it shall talk effect from and after its passage and approval.
