AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO.2007, THE BUDGET ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, TO PROVIDE FOR THE ADDITION OF THE MOSQUITO CONTROL BUDGET

BE IT ENACTED by the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
WHEREAS, There presently exists a need to effectively finance the operation of the Mosquito Control Program operated by the City of Jonesboro to protect public health and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for effective operation that the Budget Ordinance be amended to allow for the inclusion of a budget for mosquito control operations during fiscal year 1987;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
Section 1; Ordinance No.2007 is herewith amended to provide that the Mosquito Control Budget proposed for operations of the program in 1987 in the proposed total amount of $59,078.00 be included and hereby made a part of the budget for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Section 2: Due to the need for effective operation and maintenance of the Mosquito Control Program by the City, an emergency is therefore declared and this ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
