RESOLUTION TO TAKE CORRECTIVE ACTION IN ORDER TO COMPLY WITH THE PROVISIONS OF ACT 332 OF 1977

WHEREAS, the Legislative Joint Audit Committee has deferred approval of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas 1979 and 1980 Audit Report until action is taken by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas to respond to the audit recommendations pertaining to the Municipal Court and Act 332 of 1979, and,

WHEREAS, the Municipal Court is a function of County Government as of January 1, 1981 and

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro desires to cooperate with the Legislative Joint Audit Committee:

BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that the City will cooperate with the Craighead County Municipal Court and other officials to take corrective action in order to comply with the provisions of Act 332 of 1977.
