A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION TO THE ARKANSAS TRANSPORTATION ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM FOR FY 2002, FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro is desirous of applying for matching funding through the Arkansas Department of Transportation Enhancement Program, through the State Highway and Transportation Department for working with curb, gutters and sidewalks in the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro is willing to provide the required 20% matching fund for the program, and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF JONESBORO, THAT:

1.                     The City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, is desirous of committing a cash match of $100,000 for the program and receive $400,000 from the State of Arkansas.

2.                     The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to make application and execute all agreements for the implementation of this program.

THIS RESOLUTION adopted this 15^th day of October, 2001.
