RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING AND APPOINTING MEMBERS TO AN AD HOC COMMITTEE TO STUDY PRIVATIZING RESIDENTIAL SANITATION SERVICES

WHEREAS, Mayor Perrin and the Public Works Council Committee have requested the creation of an ad hoc committee to study the feasibility of privatizing residential sanitation services for the City of Jonesboro;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that:

Dennis Burks, Alderman Charles Frierson, Joe Hafner, Operations Director Gary Harpole, Chair of the Employee Representative Committee Larry Jackson, Sanitation Superintendent Royce Leonard, Alderman Chris Moore, Sanitation Employee Kearn Murray, Code Enforcement Officer Ronnie Shaver, Sanitation Employee Ronny Stanback and Alderman John Street are hereby appointed to the Sanitation Privatization Ad Hoc Committee.

Terms for all of the committee members shall start August 4, 2009, with an end date of December 31, 2009, or until the task is complete.
