RESOLUTION TO EXPRESS APPRECIATION TO CHARLES FRIERSON FOR HIS SERVICE TO THE CITY AND THE CITIZENS OF JONESBORO AS A MEMBER OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION, THE PARKING STUDY COMMITTEE AND THE TRAFFIC ADVISORY COMMISSION

WHEREAS, Charles Frierson for the past twelve years has served the City of Jonesboro as a member of either the City Planning Commission, The Parking Study Committee or the Traffic Advisory Commission, sometimes serving two of them at the same time, and

 

WHEREEAS, Mr. Frierson has tendered his resignation to the Mayor of the City of Jonesboro, and

 

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jonesboro desires to spread the following resolution upon the minutes:

 

RESOLVED, that the City Council recognizes the excellent, energetic and intelligent service that Mr. Frierson has rendered to the City of Jonesboro during the years he has served as a member of the City Planning Commission, The Parking Study Committee, and the Traffic Advisory Commission. Mr. Frierson’s untiring efforts as a member of these commissions and committee has aided greatly in the progress of the City and that the great growth of the City of Jonesboro during his service can in a large measure be attributed to his efforts and untiring devotion.

 

RESOLVED FURTHER, Mr. Frierson has performed an excellent service for our City and its people and the City Council and the people of Jonesboro greatly appreciate his untiring service. In accepting his resignation, the City Council pays its deepest respect, esteem and admiration unto him.

 

FURTHER, RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution shall spread upon the official minutes and become a lasting tribute to Mr. Frierson for his devotion to duty. And that a copy of this resolution be tendered to Mr. Frierson as an expression of the Council’s sincere appreciation for the services rendered by him.
