A RESOLUTION TO REQUEST DRAINAGE DISTRICTS TO COOPERATE WITH THE STREET COMMITTEE OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO INVESTIGATE POSSIBILITIES OF CLEANING OUT DITCHES AND CREEKS IN THE CITY OF JONESBORO ARKANSAS

WHERES, the City of Jonesboro is experiencing considerable drainage problems in various sectors of town; and

WHEREAS, there has been considerable interest upon the part of concerned citizens in improving these drainage problems; and

WHEREAS, the City council of the City of Jonesboro feels that the Drainage District should be responsive to the needs of the citizens of Jonesboro; and

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jonesboro is supportive of any efforts to correct the drainage problems, and

NOW, THREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Jonesboro, Arkansas that the Drainage District is requested to meet with the Street Committee of the City Council to take the steps necessary to expedite the cleaning of ditches and creeks within the city limits.
