A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS TO CONTRACT WITH NRS CONSULTING ENGINEERS FOR TURTLE CREEK GREENWAY (NOTE: THIS CONTRACT WAS AMENDED BY RES-07:215 ON JULY 17, 2007; RES-08:014 ON FEBRUARY 19, 2008)

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro is seeking to finalize the design and begin construction on a portion of the Turtle Creek Greenway;

WHEREAS, final engineering plans are needed to bid out the construction of the Greenway;

WHEREAS, NRS Consulting Engineers is requesting $40,000 to perform the engineering work and construction inspection for the Greenway as described in the contract;

WHEREAS, funds for the contract shall come from the 2008 budget line item 07-100-0140-00.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:

SECTION 1: That the City of Jonesboro shall contract with NRS Consulting Engineers for $40,000 to prepare a final engineering plan and construction inspection for the Turtle Creek Greenway.  A copy of said contract is attached as "Exhibit A."

SECTION 2: The Mayor, Doug Formon and City Clerk, Donna Jackson are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
