AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954 KNOW AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR CHANGE IN ZONING BOUNDARIES.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
SECTION 1: That Ordinance No. 954 known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro be amended as recommended by the City Planning Commission by the change of zoning district boundaries as follows:
1. From Residential (R-2) to Commercial (C-3) of property described as: Beginning at a point on the South side of Race Street said point being 200 feet East of the East right of way line of James Avenue where it intersects with the South right of way line of the aforesaid Race Street and running thence South and parallel to the aforesaid East right of way line of James Avenue, 250 feet to the North right of way line of Fred Street; thence along the North right of way line of Fred Street Southeastwardly and South to its intersection with the North right of way line of Oliver Street; thence East along the North right of way line of said Oliver Street to its intersection with the West right of way line of Kathleen Street; said right of way line of Kathleen Street being also the East corporate limit line of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; thence along the West right of way line of the aforesaid Kathleen Street North to its intersection with the South right of way of U.S. Highway 63; thence along the said South right of way line (as existed on 10-1-67), Northwest to its intersection with the South right of way line of the aforesaid Race Street; thence West along the South right of way line of the aforesaid Race Street to the point of beginning being a portion of the Dudley 1st Addition to the City of Nettleton, Arkansas, being bounded on the East by Highway 63 on the South by Oliver Street and on the Southwest by Fred Street and on the North by Race Street.
