AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 14.08, ZONING DISTRICT REGULATIONS, SECTION 14.08.02 (c) 4., R-1 RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT - PROHIBITED USES, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS, BY ELIMINATING EXCEPTIONS FOR HOME OCCUPATIONS.

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
SECTION 1: That Chapter 14.08, Section 14.08.02 (c) 4, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, is hereby amended to read as follows:
(c) Prohibited uses. The following uses are prohibited: 4. Home Occupations which consist of retail sales, manufacturing operations, or provision of personal services on the premises, those which require customer visits to the residence, and those which require the use of specialized machinery, equipment or supplies.
SECTION 2: If for any reason, any portion of this Ordinance is held to be invalid, such invalidity shall in no way affect the remaining portions thereof which are valid, but such valid portions shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3: It is found and declared by the City Council that an emergency exists and this Ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public please, health and safety, it shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
