AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR CHANGES IN ZONING BOUNDARIES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

BE IT ORDIANED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
SECTION 1: That Ordinance No. 954 known as the zoning ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission (RZ92-7) by the changes in zoning classification as follows:
From Residential (R-1) to Industrial (I-1) the following described property:
A part of the NW ¼, SW ¼ of Section 10, T14N, R3W, Being more particularly described as follows: Begin at the Southwest corner of the NW ¼, SW ¼ of aforesaid Section 10; thence N0°01’E on the Section Line 298.5’; thence S75°36’E 323.8’; thence S0°05’ E 211.6’ to the North right-of-way line of Hickox Street; thence S88°51’ W along said right-of-way line 314.1’ to the point of beginning, containing 1.84 acres, more or less, subject to all right-of-ways and easements of record.
SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that the proper use of the tract(s) of land described above in this ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that, therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
