A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS TO ACCEPT THE LOW BID AND ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH ATLAS ASPHALT INC. FOR THE 2026 ASPHALT MILLING AND OVERLAYS SELECTED CITY STREETS PROJECT - JOB NO. 2026:03

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro has desires to accept the low bid and enter into a contract for the 2026 Asphalt Milling and Overlays Selected City Streets project;
WHEREAS, the low bidder and the firm selected for the 2026 Asphalt Milling and Overlays Selected City Streets project is Atlas Asphalt, Inc.;
WHEREAS, Atlas Asphalt, Inc. has bid $2,166,183.20 for the 2026 Asphalt Milling and Overlays Selected City Streets project;
WHEREAS, the funding for the execution of the contract shall come from the 2026 budget and compensation shall be paid in accordance with the contract documents.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:
Section 1. That the City of Jonesboro shall accept the low bid and enter into a contract with Atlas Asphalt, Inc. in the amount of $2,166,183.20 for the 2026 Asphalt Milling and Overlay Selected City Streets project;
Section 2. The funding for the execution of the contract shall come from the 2026 budget and compensation shall be paid in accordance with the contract documents
Section 3. The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this contract.
