RESOLUTION TO AMEND THE CONTRACT WITH JOE TOMLINSON TO ASSIST THE PLANNING DEPARTMENT ON AN INTERIM BASIS

Whereas, the City of Jonesboro desires to amend the contract created with Resolution No. 2005:140, between the City of Jonesboro and Joe Tomlinson, an independent contractor, for the purpose of assisting the planning activities of the City of Jonesboro on an interim basis;

Whereas, it is in the best interest of the City of Jonesboro that the City Council authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute this contract:

Now therefore be it resolved by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that:

1.  This contract, for the purpose of obtaining the services of Joe Tomlinson to assist the planning activities of the City of Jonesboro on an interim basis, is for the best interest of the residents of the City of Jonesboro.

2.  The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute said contract.

Passed and adopted this 21^st day of March, 2006.
