AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR CHANGES IN ZONING BOUNDARIES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
SECTION 1: That Ordinance No. 954 known as the zoning ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the changes in zoning classifications as follows:
From Residential (R-1) to Industrial (I-1) the following described property:

Begin at the Northwest Corner of the Northwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 4, Township 13 North, Range 4 East, Craighead County, Arkansas, thence North 89º43' East along the North Line of the Northwest Quarter Of the Southeast Quarter aforesaid 528.5 feet to the point of beginning proper; thence continue North 89º43' East along said North Line 478.8 feet to the West Right-Of-Way Line of the Missouri Pacific Railroad; thence South 12º10' West along Side of Right-Of-Way Line 465.46 feet; thence South 89º43' West 380.8; thence North 454.5 feet to the point of beginning proper, containing 4.48 acres.
SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that the proper use of the tract(s) of
land described above in this ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that, therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
