RESOLUTION TO INCREASE THE TIPPING FEE AT THE LANDFILL AS OF OCTOBER 1, 1989

WHEREAS, Arkansas Department of Pollution Control and Ecology, hereinafter referred to as PC&E has been granted the authority by the State of Arkansas to Assess and collect a landfill disposal fee from every licensed landfill operator in the state of Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, PC&E has set the date of collection of the fees as October 1, 1989; and
WHEREAS, the fee that PC&E will assess and collect from the City of Jonesboro will be one dollar ($1.00) for every ton of solid waste that enters the City Landfill:
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas to increase the tipping feet at the City owned Landfill from Twelve Dollars and Fifty Center ($12.50) per ton to Thirteen Dollars and Fifty Center ($13.50) per ton, with a minimum charge of Six Dollars and Seventy-five Cents ($6.75).
The above increase will be effective as of October 1, 1989.
