CALLED CITY COUNCIL MEETING SEPTEMBER 22, 1986
The Jonesboro City Council met at 4:00 p.m. Present were Mayor, City Clerk, and Aldermen Park, Stricklin, Hinson, Evans, Hannah, Strauser, Sanderson Culpepper, and Nix. Absent were Bridger, Shelton, and Mays.
Mr. John Troutt, representing Jonesboro Unlimited addressed the Council regarding a proposed resolution. Mr. Stricklin offered the resolution designating Jonesboro Industrial Development Corporation, a non-profit corporation for the development of industry for the City of Jonesboro, as the agent in the acquisition of approximately 760 acres of land in Craighead County to the designated for future industrial development and the transferring of funds from CWL to JIDC to facilitate the use of such funds to finance the purchase of the industrial park land.
RESOLUTION TO TRANSFER FUNDS TO THE JONESBORO INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION TO PURCHASE LANDS AND SELL PORTIONS OF THE NEW INDUSTRIAL PARK
Mr. Hannah moved, seconded by Mr. Park to adopt the resolution. All voted aye. The resolution was given the number 1986:29.
With no further business, the meeting adjourned.
