AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954 KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR A CHANGE IN ZONING BOUNDARIES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
Section 1: That Ordinance No. 954, known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro. Arkansas, be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by a change in the coning classification as follows:
From Industrial (I-1) to Residential (R-3) of the following described real property located in the Western District of Craighead County, Arkansas, to-wit:
Lots 6 through 15 of Northwest Addition, Jonesboro, Arkansas, Lots 1 through 5 of Blalock Subdivision, Jonesboro, Arkansas, Lots 1 through 16 of Block 2, Lots 1, 7, 8, 11 and 12 of Block 3, Lots 10, 15 and 16 of Block 6 and Lots 1 through 16 of Block 7, Meyer’s Addition, Jonesboro, Arkansas
Section 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that the proper use of the tract of land described in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that, therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, it shall take effect and be in gull force from and after its passage and approval.
