RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE PLACEMENT OF AN AUTOMATIC CAMERA FROM BURLINGTON RAILROAD AT THE RAILROAD CROSSING ON HIGHLAND DRIVE AND EAST NETTLETON

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO TO AUTHORIZE AND SUPPORT THE PLACEMENT OF AN AUTOMATIC CAMERA BY BURLINGTON NORTHERN RAILROAD. THE CAMERA WOULD BE PLACED AT THE RAILROAD CROSSING OF HIGHLAND DRIVE AND EAST NETTLETON AND WOULD PHOTOGRAPH THE LICENSE PLATE OF ANY INDIVIDUAL VIOLATING THE CROSSING GATES.

BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas supports the increased enforcement will significantly reduce the number of automobile/train collisions at said location.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Burlington Northern Railroad will finance all costs incurred by the Railroad in this project with the exception of the erection of a pole and the providing of electricity.
