RESOLUTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING TO ABANDON A PORTION OF BASWELL STREET, A.K.A. GWYNDAL AVENUE, AS REQUESTED BY COMMUNITY FELLOWSHIP CHURCH AND U-HAUL

WHEREAS, the property owners have filed a petition with the City Clerk of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, requesting that portion of Baswell Street, a/k/a Gwyndal Avenue, between Stadium boulevard and Brazos Street be vacated and abandoned; and

WHEREAS, the petition has been presented to the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and

WHEREAS, A.C.A. 14-301-110 et.seq. requires two weeks notice before the above street can be vacated and abandoned;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that the City Clerk is directed to publish a notice once a week for two consecutive weeks advising the public of the request by the property owners to vacated and abandon the unimproved portion of said street mentioned above, and this matter will be heard before the City Council on September 5, 2000 at 6:15 p.m. o'clock at the Huntington Building, Jonesboro, Arkansas.
