A RESOLUTION TO CONTRACT WITH ASSOCIATED ENGINEERING FOR THE SURVEY OF OAKLAWN AND NETTLETON CEMETERIES (NOTE: THIS CONTRACT WAS AMENDED BY RES-06:359 ON JANUARY 16, 2006)

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro owns and maintains Oaklawn and Nettleton Cemeteries;

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro desires to open new sections of the cemeteries to sell spaces;

WHEREAS, a survey performed by a licensed surveyor is required to sell spaces;

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro has interviewed three firms and recommended Associated Engineering to the Public Services Committee;

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS

SECTION 1: That the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas shall contract with Associated Engineering for the purpose of surveying and mapping Oaklawn and Nettleton Cemeteries.  A copy of said contract is attached as "Exhibit A."

SECTION 2: The Mayor, Doug Formon and City Clerk, Donna Jackson are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate the agreement.
