BE IT ORDAINED by this City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:

 

SECTION 1: That Ordinance No. 954 known as the zoning ordinance of the City of Jonesboro be amended by the change in zoning district boundaries as follows: 

 

From Residential (R-2) to Commercial (C-3) of the following described real property lying in Jonesboro, Craighead County, Arkansas, and to-wit:

 

Max Dacus, Jr’s Replat of Lots 130, 179 & 180 of College Place Subdivision and that Part of Marshall Street (closed) situated North of Johnson Avenue South of Cedar Heights Third addition: And a Replat of Lots B, D and Part of Lot C of Max Dacus, Jr’s Replat of Lots 98-104 and that Part of Lots 105 and 106, Situated North of Strecklers First of College Place Subd.  And Lots 181-196 and all that Part of Lots 128 and 129 Situated North of the North Line of Johnson Ave.  And Lots 197-213 and all that Part of Lots 214, 131 and 132 situated North of the North Line of Johnson Ave. all of College Place Subdivision to Jonesboro, Arkansas.                     

 

SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that proper use of the tract of land described in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning and that, therefore, an emergency exist and this Ordinance being necessary for the preservation of public peace, health and safety, it shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.

 

PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of October, 1992.
