A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS APPROVING CONTRACT FOR  CRAIGHEAD FOREST URBAN &  COMMUNITY FORESTRY GRANT,  STATE JOB # UCF04-07 WITH THE ARKANSAS FORESTRY COMMISSION

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro owns and maintains Craighead Forest located at 4910 South Culberhouse, Jonesboro, AR.

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas was approved for a matching grant for improvements at Craighead Forest Park, and desires to enter into a contract.

WHEREAS, the grant and matching project amount was approved in the 2004 City Budget in the Capital Improvement Fund, line item 07-100-154-00, of which  $20,000 or fifty percent of the funds will be received from the Arkansas Forestry Commission  and $20,000 or fifty percent of the funds will be paid by the City for a total grant amount of $40,000.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:

SECTION 1: That the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas accepts the contract for State Job No. UCF04-07 with the Arkansas Forestry Commission for the Craighead Forest Urban & Community Forestry project.

SECTION 2: The Mayor, Hubert Brodell and City Clerk, Donna Jackson are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
