RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE OF THE CITY’S INTENT TO ENFORCE PAVING REQUIREMENTS OF TITLE 14 OF THE CITY CODE

WHEREAS, Title 14 of the Jonesboro Municipal Code, entitled Zoning, has always contained provisions requiring paved driveways and parking areas for commercial and industrial establishments.
WHEREAS, numerous such establishments have been allowed, due to weather or other reasons, to begin operation without initially meeting the paving requirements; and
WHEREAS, in the interest of fairness, and compliance with laws which have been followed by most others, it is the desire of the City Council that paving laws be complied with by all to whom said law applies.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS
That notice is hereby given to all establishments which have opened since January 1, 1990, and who are not in compliance with paving provisions contained in Title 14 of Jonesboro Municipal Code, that compliance must be achieved, under penalty of law by October 1, 2001.
