AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS; PROVIDING FOR CHANGES IN ZONING BOUNDARIES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
Section 1: That Ordinance No.954, known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas is amended as recommended by the City Planning Commission, by the changes in zoning boundaries as follows:
(a) From Residential (R-3) to Commercial (C-3) the following described property:
Change Lot #4 of Keich’s 1st Addition to the City of Jonesboro. The general location of this property is North of Nettleton Avenue and East of Willow Road. The property is rezoned subject to a 41’ right-of-way on Nettleton.
(b) From Residential (R-3) to Commercial (C-3) the following described property:
Change Lots 2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and 9 of the Pieri Addition to the City of Jonesboro. The general location of this property is West of Church Street, East of Main Street, and Northwest of Pecan Street. The property is rezoned subject to a 30’ right-of-way from the centerline of Church Street.
Section 2: It is found and declared by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, that the proper use of the tracts of lands described in this ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning and therefore, this ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety an emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
