AN ORDINANCE TO CONTRACT WITH VAN HORN ASSOCIATES FOR THE DOWNTOWN SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS PHASE II PROJECT, AND TO APPROPRIATE ADDITIONAL FUNDS

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that:
SECTION 1: The City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas authorizes the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute and accept the low bid contract with Van Horn Associates for completion of the Downtown Sidewalk Improvements Phase II Project
SECTION 2: The sum of $30,000 is appropriated from the Unappropriated Balance of the Capital Improvement Fund as additional funds for the contract, such amount to be appropriated to Account Number 07-100-0192-00.
SECTION 3: It is hereby found and declared that an emergency exists and that this ordinance, being necessary for the timely completion of the Project, shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
