Title: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 6 - ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES TO COMPLY WITH CHANGES TO THE ARKANSAS LAW REGARDING PRIVATE CLUB PERMITS WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro has need to amend our ordinances to be consistent with changes to Arkansas law passed in the most recent legislative session; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas desires to make the included changes. NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS: That the definition of private club in Article I, Section 6-1 shall be deleted and replaced with the following definition: Private club means a non-profit corporation, sole-proprietorship, corporation, partnership, or limited liability company organized and existing or authorized to do business under the laws of this state. PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 2ND DAY OF DECEMBER 2025.

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 6 - ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES TO COMPLY WITH CHANGES TO THE ARKANSAS LAW REGARDING PRIVATE CLUB PERMITS

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro has need to amend our ordinances to be consistent with changes to Arkansas law passed in the most recent legislative session; and

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas desires to make the included changes.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:

That the definition of private club in Article I, Section 6-1 shall be deleted and replaced with the following definition:

Private club means a non-profit corporation, sole-proprietorship, corporation, partnership, or limited liability company organized and existing or authorized to do business under the laws of this state.
