AN ORDINANCE WAIVING COMPETITIVE BIDDING AND ASSERTING THE LOW BID OF ROBERTSON INC. AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

WHEREAS, there is a need for the City of Jonesboro to perform dirt work on the Herget Road interchange and,
WHEREAS, the work can be obtained at an advantageous price from Robertson,Inc.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro:
SECTION 1: That the City waive competitive bidding based upon the immediate need for the performance of the dirt work and further in consideration of having obtained voice bids from three companies.
SECTION 2: That said work be contracted with Robertson, Inc. according to the terms on "Exhibit A" with said funds to come out of unappropriated sales tax.
SECTION 3: Further that this Ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace health and safety, shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
